After several mysterious deaths, what remained of the Chambers family was divided, each sent to a different city. After seventeen years of living on her own, Ivy Chambers is summoned to the Shadow Council. The Shadow Council rules life within The Society. Every one of the hidden clans, whether Vampire, Fae, Shifter, Seer or like Ivy, Mage must abide by its rulings.
Their main goal? To keep the clans hidden from the normal world around them.
While Ivy doesn't know what brought her to the attention of the Shadow Council, any more than she knows why her family was separated, she knows she must appear before them. Even though Russell, who seems to know far more about the situation than he lets on, tells her she hasn't been summoned for punishment, she is still cautious.
After all the Shadow Council's rulings destroyed her world once, why would she trust them? This time however, it isn't personal, and it has the potential to destroy far more than just her.

Ivy and her family begin their lives at Wildwood, working on finishing construction and creating what they and their clans need. But as work begins, the Shadow Council, the ruling body for all of the hidden clans, collapses leaving uncertainty in its demise.
Worries rise as Ivy expects old grudges to be redressed and new feuds to begin among the volatile clans. But as she seeks security, bulking up the protections around those she most cares about, a new threat arises.
The Brotherhood, a group thought long ago exterminated has returned and as Ivy investigates her own past, seeming answers to long held questions, she begins to see their influence everywhere.
Can the fractured clans gather to address this threat, or will their divisions destroy them?

After surviving an attack by the Brotherhood, Ivy tries to get back to normal life preparing for the launch of Wildwood's retail venture. Wounds start to heal and nightmares fade. Normality seems in almost in reach.
Unfortunately, others have different expectations.
The head of the Seers shows up demanding Irina and Nick be turned over to him as they are part of the Seer Clan and Hamilton demands she figure out who else the Brotherhood paid off.
Can Ivy protect her friends and figure out who is trying to kill them before more attacks occur?

After being shot, Ivy Chambers settles in to her home in Wildwood to recover and read through her purloined files. Her recovery time is interrupted when the Head of the Mage Clan calls reporting that the golems running the Shadow Council Headquarters are malfunctioning.
While she knows very little about golems, Hamilton can't risk anyone knowing he's lost control and since Ivy's ancestor created the golems, she's the one who needs to fix them. With a crash course in golems under her belt, Ivy returns to the archives, but it isn't only her family's actions causing problems. It seems more than the golems are malfunctioning. Can Ivy settle things without taking more damage or is the world destined to spin even further out of control?

Once again Ivy Chambers has found herself shot. As a fire mage who tries to obey the laws of The Society governing all of the Hidden Clans, at least where anyone could see, Ivy never thought she was the sort of person anyone would aim a gun at in the first place, let alone shoot.
But she isn't to be left to heal in peace.
The Seers have lost sight of their future and need a Seer untied to them to craft visions. Ivy's friend Irina is their only hope and Ivy has to work to keep her safe and the entire Seer Clan from attacking Wildwood, all while trying to deal with the various political machinations of other factions within the society. Ivy and the entire Chambers family have to start reevaluating their place in The Society as they face threats they never saw coming.
