Born of Sugar and Spice
Book 1 of the Lost Princess

Alana Gregson had her life figured out. After working in kitchens around the world she returned home to Lewiston to open the Sugar and Spice Bakery. After five years the bakery has a steady following, a loyal staff and Alana is happy. Down the street her sister Marta owns the Glass Slipper Bridal Shop and her other sister Angela owns the Rose and Thorn Florists. Alana could be content working in her bakery for the rest of her life, however unexplained break-ins and attempted kidnappings soon lead her to realize Lewiston is not the bucolic small town it seemed and its secrets are starting to come to light.

In the lands of the Chadon where fairytale magic is controlled and regulated some kingdoms have broken with tradition and allowed those with magic more freedom to create. There are those who have profited from the change and those who desperately want the return of the old order. A plan to kidnap a princess from one of the lenient kingdoms to blackmail them into returning to the old ways goes awry and the princess is lost somewhere through the Eastern Gate, in our world. She has grown up without magic or royal power and now, with rebellion brewing, the search is on to find the lost princess and bring her home.

Tested By Fire and Ice
Book 2 of The Lost Princess

After the Masquerade Ball, Alana worries about her sisters' safety.  After all, returning through the Eastern Gate wiped their memories so they don't even remember the threats exist. Are those on the other side of the gate still looking to kidnap them as they search for the Lost Princess? While Alana tries to find enough information to figure out who is involved and what they are planning next, she is eager for a rest from the holiday rush at the Sugar and Spice Bakery.  Closed for a week, Alana will finally get some down time to think, relax and possibly learn how to wield the magic Serena claims she possesses.  Unfortunately, the plans of others derail her time of relaxation before it can begin and Alana finds herself in her own twisted version of a fairy tale and questioning everything she believed to be true.

Meanwhile…

Andrew is furious that he is being blamed for the failure of the Masquerade Ball.  Treated as an errand boy and not given the respect he believes is his due, the prince of Leriac fumes at the disregard and plots retribution.  Soon however he finds his very position is threatened.  Is there someone else who can supplant him as the King's heir?  And what is he to do about it?

And…

Rinaldo is running out of options as he tests the eligible ladies of Lewiston in an effort to find his niece, the long-lost princess.  While the holiday deprives him of the opportunity to do much testing, it does bring him into contact with more of the elite in Lewiston. To his surprise he finds that many of these people in this non-magical place have magic in their blood.  In addition, the Lewis Mansion itself holds magical secrets.  All is not as he thought, and Rinaldo is faced with the fact that much of what he believed about this city at the edge of the Eastern Gate may be wrong. Can he untangle the truth and find his missing niece?

Rinaldo's Quest: A Novella from the World of the Lost Princess

Magic in the Kingdoms of the Chadon operates on a very strict set of rules. Quests especially have guidelines and protocols.  When King Harold sets up a quest for his daughter Georgina he expects those rules to be followed, the protocols holding firm.  With them in place, he knows no quester will be seriously harmed and that the prince he already selected to win the contest will be triumphant.

Unfortunately, questers start dying. It appears the sorcerer in charge of the quest has gone mad. In a panic Harold calls for help.  The neighboring kingdom of Theras is worried about the damage a mad sorcerer could do and King Sigmund sends his middle son, Rinaldo to investigate and bring an end to the madness.

Set in the world of the Lost Princess, we see Rinaldo as a much younger man in a series of events that has far reaching consequences.
